1. ArriveCAN APP
The application is something you need to have in mind. This app will gather your personal information, arriving information, and your proof of vaccination. You need to download this app on your phone and complete it at least 48 hours before departing from your home country.
2. Proof of Vaccination
Now, it is very important to be vaccinated with the approved vaccines by the Canadian government. You can find this one at this link. Arriving in Canada with none or only one of the approved vaccines will not be considered an option, however, you need to know that you will be required to pay for a 14-days quarantine at a designated hotel in the destination city.
3. Financial means
Entering into Canada is easy, however, you should be able to enter with a Credit Card or cash. If you are coming to visit a destination city we recommend you have at least CAD$1,000 for each month of your stay. If you are coming as a student, we recommend you bring the bank statements you used to apply for your student visa. Remember, it is better to bring extra money than be short of it. Border officers are more satisfied to see that you have a plan than improvise your trip.
4. Additional documents
We didn't forget to mention your passport as an important document to bring, but it is essential if you want to travel. The document has to have at least 6 months of validity and free pages to stamp the arrival information.
Another document that you need to bring is the Letter of Acceptance from the educational institution so you have a complete reason to come to Canada. If your trip does not plan to have an educational component, it is good to bring an itinerary or plan where you will be visiting.
An address or place that you will be staying, with a friend, and Airbnb or any other which mentions the address of the place. If you have the payment receipt it will be better for the officer.
